How to View Customer Payment Card Details
You can view the last four digits of a customer's saved credit card directly from their profile. This helps you verify payment methods and assist customers with billing questions.
Viewing Payment Method Details
Step 1: Open the Customer Profile
- Go to CRM in the left sidebar
- Search for and click on the customer's name
- Open their full profile
Step 2: Find Payment Methods
- Look for the Payment Methods or Billing section on the profile
- You'll see a list of their saved payment methods
Step 3: View Card Details
For each saved payment method, you can see:
- Card brand (Visa, Mastercard, Amex, etc.)
- Last four digits (e.g., ****1234)
- Expiration date
- Whether it's the default payment method

Managing Payment Methods
From the customer's profile, you can also:
- Add a new payment method: If the customer provides a new card
- Set default: Change which card is used for recurring payments
- Remove: Delete outdated or cancelled cards
When This Is Useful
- Verifying payments: Confirm which card was charged
- Helping customers: Assist when they forget which card they used
- Updating cards: Help customers switch to a new card
- Troubleshooting: Identify if a card has expired
Privacy & Security
- Full card numbers are never displayed or stored in Zipper
- Payment data is securely stored by Stripe
- Only authorized staff can view payment method details
- Access should be limited to staff who need it
Tip
If a customer needs to update their payment method themselves:
- They can log into the customer app
- Go to their account/profile settings
- Update payment methods through the Stripe customer portal
