How to View Customer Payment Card Details

You can view the last four digits of a customer's saved credit card directly from their profile. This helps you verify payment methods and assist customers with billing questions.

Viewing Payment Method Details

Step 1: Open the Customer Profile

  1. Go to CRM in the left sidebar
  2. Search for and click on the customer's name
  3. Open their full profile

Step 2: Find Payment Methods

  1. Look for the Payment Methods or Billing section on the profile
  2. You'll see a list of their saved payment methods

Step 3: View Card Details

For each saved payment method, you can see:

  • Card brand (Visa, Mastercard, Amex, etc.)
  • Last four digits (e.g., ****1234)
  • Expiration date
  • Whether it's the default payment method

Managing Payment Methods

From the customer's profile, you can also:

  • Add a new payment method: If the customer provides a new card
  • Set default: Change which card is used for recurring payments
  • Remove: Delete outdated or cancelled cards

When This Is Useful

  • Verifying payments: Confirm which card was charged
  • Helping customers: Assist when they forget which card they used
  • Updating cards: Help customers switch to a new card
  • Troubleshooting: Identify if a card has expired

Privacy & Security

  • Full card numbers are never displayed or stored in Zipper
  • Payment data is securely stored by Stripe
  • Only authorized staff can view payment method details
  • Access should be limited to staff who need it

Tip

If a customer needs to update their payment method themselves:

  1. They can log into the customer app
  2. Go to their account/profile settings
  3. Update payment methods through the Stripe customer portal
