How to Upload Media to Media Library

Learn how to upload images, videos, and other media files to your media library. Media can be reused across your sites, blog posts, CMS content, and pages.

Before You Begin

  • You must be logged in to your account at https://app.joinzipper.com
  • You need permission to manage media library (typically organization owners and admins have this permission)
  • Media files ready to upload (images, videos, etc.)

Steps

Step 1: Navigate to Media Library

  1. Log in to your account at https://app.joinzipper.com/auth/login
  2. From the dashboard, go to Media Library (or Content → Media)
  3. You'll see your media library

What happens next: You'll see existing media files (if any) and upload options.

Step 2: Open Upload Interface

  1. On the Media Library page, look for Upload button
  2. Click Upload
  3. A file selection dialog will open

Alternative: You can also drag and drop files directly onto the Media Library page.

What happens next: You'll see options to select files.

Step 3: Select Files to Upload

  1. Select files:

    • Choose files from your computer
    • You can select multiple files at once
    • Supported file types: images (JPG, PNG, GIF), videos (MP4), and other formats
  2. File selection:

    • Browse your computer
    • Select one or more files
    • Click Open or Select

Note: You can upload multiple files at once for bulk upload.

Step 4: Wait for Upload

  1. Upload progress:

    • Files will begin uploading
    • You'll see upload progress indicators
    • Large files may take longer
  2. Upload status:

    • Files upload one by one or in batches
    • You'll see success messages when complete
    • Any errors will be shown

Note: Upload time depends on file size and internet connection speed.

Step 5: Verify Upload

  1. Check uploaded files:

    • Files appear in your media library
    • You can see thumbnails or file names
    • Files are ready to use
  2. File information:

    • File names are preserved
    • File types are detected automatically
    • Files are organized in the library

What happens next: Your media files will be uploaded and:

  • Available in your media library
  • Ready to use across sites and pages
  • Can be reused in blog posts, CMS content, etc.
  • Organized and searchable

Using Uploaded Media

After uploading, you can:

  1. Use in blog posts: Insert images/videos into blog posts
  2. Use in CMS content: Add media to services, staff profiles, etc.
  3. Use on pages: Add media to website pages
  4. Reuse across sites: Use same media on multiple sites
  5. Organize media: Organize into folders or categories

Tips

  • Upload media in bulk to save time
  • Use descriptive file names for easy searching
  • Organize media into folders or categories

  • Keep file sizes reasonable for faster loading

Troubleshooting

Problem: I don't see Media Library option Solution: Check that:

  • You have permission to manage media library
  • Media Library feature is enabled
  • You're logged into the correct organization

Solution: Contact your organization owner if you need access to Media Library.

Problem: Upload is failing Solution: Check that:

  • File size doesn't exceed limits
  • File type is supported
  • Internet connection is stable
  • Upload service is available

Solution: Verify file size and type. Check internet connection. Try uploading again.

Problem: Files aren't appearing after upload Solution: Check that:

  • Upload completed successfully
  • Files aren't filtered out
  • You're viewing the correct library

Solution: Verify upload completed. Clear filters and refresh the page.

Problem: I can't upload certain file types Solution: Check supported file types:

  • Images: JPG, PNG, GIF typically supported
  • Videos: MP4 typically supported
  • Other formats may not be supported

Solution: Verify file type is supported. Convert files to supported formats if needed.
