How to Update Product Prices
Learn how to update product prices. When you change a product's price, new customers will see the new price, but existing subscribers keep their current price unless you update it separately.
Before You Begin
- You must be logged in to your account at https://app.joinzipper.com
- You need permission to manage products (typically organization owners and admins have this permission)
- A product to update
Steps
Step 1: Navigate to Products
- Log in to your account at https://app.joinzipper.com/auth/login
- From the dashboard, click Products in the left sidebar
- You'll see the Products page at https://app.joinzipper.com/dashboard/packages
Step 2: Open Product Details
- Find the product you want to update
- Click on the product to open its details
- Or click Edit next to the product
What happens next: The product edit form will open.
Step 3: Change the Price
- In the product edit form, find the Price field
- Enter the new price:
- Replace the existing price with the new amount
- Example: Change from $50 to $60
- Minimum price is typically $1.00
- The price field will update
Note: For subscription products, you may see a price change warning.
Step 4: Review Price Change Warning
If updating a subscription product, you'll see a price change warning:
- New customers will see the new price
- Existing subscribers keep their current price
- You need to use "Update Subscription Price" tool to change existing subscription prices
Read the warning carefully:
- Understand that existing customers won't be affected automatically
- Know that you'll need to update existing subscriptions separately if needed
Important: This protects existing customers from unexpected price changes.
Step 5: Save Changes
- Review your changes:
- New price is correct
- Price change warning is understood (for subscriptions)
- Click Save at the bottom of the form
- The button will show "Saving..." while updating
- You'll see a success message confirming the price was updated
- The product will be updated with the new price
What happens next: The product price will be updated and:
- New customers will see the new price
- Existing subscribers keep their current price (for subscriptions)
- Product listing will show the updated price
- Future purchases will use the new price
Updating Existing Subscription Prices
If you want to change prices for existing subscribers:
- Go to Products → select the subscription product
- Go to the Active Subscribers page
- Use the Update Subscription Price tool
- Select which subscriptions to update
- Set the new price
- Confirm the update
This allows you to change prices for existing customers when needed.
