Learn how to update product prices. When you change a product's price, new customers will see the new price, but existing subscribers keep their current price unless you update it separately.

Before You Begin

  • You must be logged in to your account at https://app.joinzipper.com
  • You need permission to manage products (typically organization owners and admins have this permission)
  • A product to update

  1. In the product edit form, find the Price field
  2. Enter the new price:
    • Replace the existing price with the new amount
    • Example: Change from $50 to $60
    • Minimum price is typically $1.00
  3. The price field will update

Note: For subscription products, you may see a price change warning.

Step 4: Review Price Change Warning

  1. If updating a subscription product, you'll see a price change warning:

    • New customers will see the new price
    • Existing subscribers keep their current price
    • You need to use "Update Subscription Price" tool to change existing subscription prices
  2. Read the warning carefully:

    • Understand that existing customers won't be affected automatically
    • Know that you'll need to update existing subscriptions separately if needed

Important: This protects existing customers from unexpected price changes.

Step 5: Save Changes

  1. Review your changes:
    • New price is correct
    • Price change warning is understood (for subscriptions)
  2. Click Save at the bottom of the form
    • The button will show "Saving..." while updating
  3. You'll see a success message confirming the price was updated
  4. The product will be updated with the new price

What happens next: The product price will be updated and:

  • New customers will see the new price
  • Existing subscribers keep their current price (for subscriptions)
  • Product listing will show the updated price
  • Future purchases will use the new price
