How to Track Automation Executions

Learn how to view automation execution history to understand when automations ran, which customers received actions, and how automations are performing.

Before You Begin

  • You must be logged in to your account at https://app.joinzipper.com
  • You need permission to manage automations (typically organization owners and admins have this permission)
  • An automation that has run (or will run)

Steps

Step 1: Navigate to Automation

  1. Log in to your account at https://app.joinzipper.com/auth/login
  2. From the dashboard, go to Automations
  3. Find the automation you want to track
  4. Click on the automation to open it

What happens next: You'll see the automation details page.

Step 2: Find Execution History

  1. On the automation page, look for Execution History section
  2. This section shows:
    • When automation ran
    • Which customers received actions
    • Execution status
    • Performance metrics

Note: Execution History provides detailed information about automation runs.

Step 3: View Execution History

  1. See execution list:

    • View all automation executions
    • See execution dates and times
    • View customer information
    • Check execution status
  2. Execution information:

    • Date/Time: When automation ran
    • Customer: Which customer received actions
    • Status: Success, failed, pending
    • Actions: What actions were executed

Note: Execution History shows complete automation execution records.

Step 4: Review Execution Details

  1. Click on execution to view details:

    • See complete execution information
    • View customer details
    • Check action results
    • Review execution status
  2. Execution details:

    • Customer information
    • Actions executed
    • Execution results
    • Any errors or issues

Note: Execution details provide complete information about each automation run.

Step 5: Monitor Performance

  1. Review execution metrics:

    • Total executions
    • Success rate
    • Failed executions
    • Customer reach
  2. Performance analysis:

    • Understand automation effectiveness
    • Identify issues or failures
    • Track customer engagement
    • Measure automation success

How Execution Tracking Works

When automations execute:

  1. Execution recording:

    • Each execution is recorded
    • Customer information is tracked
    • Actions are logged
    • Status is recorded
  2. History maintenance:

    • Execution history is maintained
    • Records are accessible
    • History helps with troubleshooting
  3. Performance monitoring:

    • Track execution frequency
    • Monitor success rates

Troubleshooting

Problem: I don't see Execution History Solution: Check that:
