How to Publish a Review

Learn how to publish customer reviews to make them visible on your website. Publishing reviews helps showcase customer feedback and build trust with potential customers.

Before You Begin

• You must be logged in to your account at https://app.joinzipper.com
• You need permission to manage reviews (typically organization owners and admins have this permission)
• A review that has been imported or created

Steps

Step 1: Navigate to Reviews

1. Log in to your account at https://app.joinzipper.com/auth/login
2. From the dashboard, go to Reviews (or Marketing → Reviews)
3. You'll see your reviews list

What happens next: You'll see all your reviews (published and unpublished).

Step 2: Find Review to Publish

1. Browse reviews:

   • See all reviews in your list
   • Reviews show status (published or unpublished)
   • Filter by status if needed

2. Find the review:

   • Search for specific reviews
   • Browse by rating, date, or platform
   • Click on the review to view details

Note: Unpublished reviews are available but not visible on your website.

Step 3: View Review Details

1. Click on the review to open its details
2. You'll see:
   • Review rating (stars)
   • Review text
   • Author name
   • Date
   • Platform/source
   • Current status (published or unpublished)

Note: Review details help you decide whether to publish the review.

Step 4: Publish Review

1. Find Publish option:

   • Look for Publish button or action
   • Or change status to "Published"
   • Click to publish the review

2. Confirm publishing:

   • Review will be published immediately
   • Status changes to "Published"
   • Review becomes visible on your website

What happens next: The review will be published and:

• Visible on your website
• Status changes to "Published"
• Appears in review displays
• Can be seen by website visitors

Managing Published Reviews

After publishing, you can:

1. Unpublish reviews: Hide reviews from your website if needed
2. Reply to reviews: Respond to customer feedback
3. Organize reviews: Filter and organize published reviews
4. Update display: Reviews appear on your site automatically

Tips

• Publish positive reviews to build trust
• Review content before publishing
• Publish reviews regularly to keep content fresh
• Reply to published reviews to show engagement
• Unpublish reviews if needed (reviews aren't deleted)

Troubleshooting

Problem: I don't see the Reviews page Solution: Check that:

• You have permission to manage reviews
• Reviews feature is enabled
• You're logged into the correct organization

Problem: I can't publish a review Solution: Check that:

• Review exists and is accessible
• You have permission to manage reviews
• Review isn't already published

Solution: Verify review exists and you have permissions. Check review status.

Problem: Review isn't appearing on my website Solution: Check that:

• Review is published (status is "Published")
• Review blocks are configured on your site
• Site is published with review content

Solution: Verify review is published. Check that review blocks are configured on your site pages.

Problem: I want to unpublish a review Solution: You can unpublish reviews:

• Go to review details
• Click Unpublish or change status
• Review will be hidden from website

Solution: Unpublish reviews by changing their status. Reviews aren't deleted, just hidden.
