How to Connect Facebook Pages
Learn how to connect your Facebook Pages to Zipper so you can publish social media content directly to Facebook. Once connected, you can publish content library items and schedule posts.
Before You Begin
- You must be logged in to your account at https://app.joinzipper.com
- You need permission to manage organization integrations (typically organization owners have this permission)
- A Facebook account with Pages you want to connect
- Admin access to the Facebook Pages you want to connect
Steps
Step 1: Navigate to Integrations
- Log in to your account at https://app.joinzipper.com/auth/login
- From the dashboard, go to Organization Management → Integrations
- You'll see available integrations including Facebook
What happens next: You'll see the integrations page with connection options.
Step 2: Find Facebook Integration
- On the Integrations page, find Facebook in the list
- You'll see:
- Facebook integration card or section
- Connection status (Connected or Not Connected)
- Connect Facebook button if not connected
Note: If Facebook is already connected, you'll see connection details and options to manage it.
Step 3: Start Facebook Connection
- Click Connect Facebook (or Authorize or Connect)
- You'll be redirected to Facebook's authorization page
- You may need to log in to Facebook if not already logged in
What happens next: Facebook's OAuth authorization flow will begin.
Step 4: Authorize Zipper Access
- On Facebook's authorization page, you'll see:
- What Zipper is requesting access to
- Facebook account information
- Authorization options
- Review the authorization request
- Click Authorize or Continue to grant access
- You'll be redirected back to Zipper
Note: Facebook uses secure OAuth authentication to connect your account.
Step 5: Select Pages to Connect
After authorization, you'll see available Pages:
- List of Facebook Pages you manage
- Page names and details
- Options to select which pages to connect
Select which pages to connect:
- Check boxes for pages you want to connect
- You can connect multiple pages
- Select all pages or specific ones
- Example: Connect "Main Business Page" and "Event Page"
Note: You can connect multiple Facebook Pages and choose which ones to use for publishing.
Step 6: Complete Connection
- Review your page selections:
- Correct pages are selected
- You have admin access to selected pages
- Click Complete or Connect to finish
- Connection will be finalized
- Pages will be connected
- You'll see a confirmation
What happens next: Facebook Pages will be connected and:
- Available for publishing content
- Visible in integration settings
- Ready to use in Marketing Copilot
- Can be selected when publishing posts
Using Connected Facebook Pages
Once connected, you can:
- Publish to Facebook: Publish content library items to connected Pages
- Schedule posts: Schedule content for future publishing
- Manage pages: View and manage connected Pages
- Select pages: Choose which Page to publish to when creating content
Tips
- Connect all Pages you want to publish to
- Ensure you have admin access to Pages before connecting
- Test publishing to verify connection works
- Keep connection active for ongoing publishing
- Reconnect if connection expires
Troubleshooting
Problem: I don't see the Integrations page Solution: Check that:
- You have permission to manage organization integrations
- You're logged in as organization owner or admin
- Organization Management section is accessible
Solution: Contact your organization owner if you need access to integrations.
Problem: Facebook connection fails Solution: Check that:
- You're logged into the correct Facebook account
- Facebook account has admin access to Pages
- Internet connection is stable
- Try disconnecting and reconnecting
Solution: Verify Facebook account and Page access. Try reconnecting if issues persist.
Problem: I don't see my Pages Solution: Check that:
- You have admin access to the Pages
- Pages exist and are active
- Facebook account has proper permissions
Solution: Verify you have admin access to Pages. Check Facebook Page settings if Pages don't appear.
Problem: I can't publish to Facebook Solution: Check that:
- Facebook Pages are connected and active
- Connection hasn't expired
- You're selecting the correct Page when publishing
Solution: Verify Facebook connection is active. Reconnect if connection has expired.
Problem: I want to disconnect Facebook Solution: To disconnect:
- Go to Integrations → Facebook
- Click Disconnect or Remove
- Confirm disconnection
- Tokens will be deleted
Solution: Disconnect Facebook from integrations settings. Connection can be re-established later.
